Makeup and glasses are not enemies! This is a true statement, so all the glass wearers’ that are nonbelievers, stop side-eyeing this post right now. I know that it may be a little more challenging, but it’s not impossible. I don’t wear prescription glasses, but I have an obsession with glasses (sunnies and regular frames). They are, for me, an accessory, so I have a few tips that can make wearing them and rocking make-up much better.
Do A Bold Eye Look that compliments Your Eyes
This one will do it every time! Don’t be afraid to go bold with the eye shadow as you create your eye looks. The glasses will soften the look, allowing your eyes to pop and be the star of the show. If you want to take it to the next level, create a look that compliments your eye color, making sure to keep in mind that lighter and brighter colors are a glass wearers friend!

- For Blue Eyes– Bronzes and coppers, along with purples and orange, look fabulous.
- For Brown Eyes- Every color looks good, but the best, in my opinion, are purples, blues, oranges, and golds.
- For Green Eyes- Violets/Purples are green eyes best friend! Yellow gold, taupe, and silver are beautiful too.
Add Mascara or A Bold Lash
Making sure your lashes are on point is a great way to ensure your glasses take a backseat to your eyes! Since I don’t have long lashes, I can get away with adding an over-the-top lash that has some length, but I usually opt for a more natural lash. If you have long lashes already, all you need is a good mascara and a lash curler! Short lash girls, you can rock it with only mascara as well, but be sure to add a few more layers of the mascara to your top and lower lashes.

Add White Eyeliner In The Waterline
This is a good one to keep in mind and to use if you wear glasses or not. Adding a white liner to the waterline makes your eyes appear bigger! Now add some bright eyeshadow onto your eyes, and you have a stunning eye look.

All Eyes Were On My Frames
Selecting a fun frame and working your beauty looks around your glasses is not a bad thing. What you would do is create looks that compliment your eyes, but accent your glasses in the best way possible! For example, when I wear the below glasses that have slightly pink lenses, I usually wear pinks and purples on my eyes and lips. By doing this, I accent my eyes and highlight the fabulous glasses as well as serving up a complete look.
Adding A Bold Lip
The eyes will automatically get lots of attention when you wear glasses, so adding a bold lip is not only an entire mood; it gives a delicate balance for the whole look! If you want to make a statement, make sure you create this bold lip look with a matte lipstick. Trust me; all eyes will be on you!
Suggested: Fenty Beauty- Mattemoiselle Matte Lipstick
I hope this helps you step out of your comfort zone and gives you the confidence to purchase the fun frames, create the bold eye look, and the permission to put ya SWANKSTANK on it.
